Alternate questions?

Posting this as a side thought since my post for the day is already long enough....

So, it's really obvious that the meme I'm doing is heavily slanted toward male otaku with slightly creepy fandom tastes. (Which probably explains why it doesn't include the equally otaku but less ecchi question "Which is your favorite model Gundam?") I did search around for variant versions of the meme in the beginning, but the alternate I linked to on the first day isn't actually that different.

I would love to see what we could come up with if we replaced all the creepy male otaku fandom question with shoujo and/or fujoshi versions.

It's funny you bring this up now because on the drive home I started thinking about what questions I could add in instead of others if I were to do an alt anime meme later in the summer. (Partly inspired, yes, by the discussion of this being a fanboy meme.) And I love that your 1st question is related to glasses* when mine was eye patches and/or facial scars.** (Way back in the day there was a running gag about how I must have a thing for facially disfigured anime characters because they made up a large percentage of all my favorites - lol.)

*I couldn't remember what kichiku meant without looking it up - why does no one use English? - but after all these years I do at least finally remember what megane means.

**NOT inspired by your use of Fushigi Yugi, though it might seem so.

Maybe instead of making the cosplay questions all creepy and weird, "a picture of the best cosplay you've ever seen" or something to that effect? Could have one for male character and one for female character to fill two days.

also, I think we should modify one from the BL manga one: favorite slashy (non-canon) couple (m/m or f/f, I'm not picky--in fact, could have one day for each gender here, too.)

Also, can't believe there's no "favorite seiyuu" question. (Is that a fujoshi thing? We do love our drama CDs...)

Seiyuu love is definitely NOT just a fujoshi thing. The boys love their lady voices, too.

Most adorable character? For me that's the equivalent of asking you to pick one BL that makes you feel happy and fluffy. (Hey, I could semi-combine the animal-girl love and the adorableness: PIYOKO!!! Who doesn't love a cute evil panda girl?) :P

Someone linked a 30 day Anime meme on facebook -- I'm sure it's related to this one, as early questions are identical -- and I gotta say, it's far more palatable topic-wise for those of us not skewing toward the skeevy male otaku demographic.

If I did one of these properly on my journal, it would probably be closer to the facebook version, though I might throw in a few new things just so there wouldn't be duplication of stuff I wrote in comments here.
