LOL, it's been so long since I actually watched FY all the way through that I had forgotten all about that plot thread. It took a while for me to figure out what you were talking about. ^_^;;
I really need to get my hands on that Japanese manga before I get far enough along in the opening credits of One Piece to get spoiled. Though, I do think Usopp and Sanji were both in the credits before they were introduced, so maybe that counts. I like not knowing who the other crew members are going to be, though -- at least until one shows up and I'm all "So THAT'S who I've been seeing in a gazillion icons." I recognized Chopper at once without knowing at all who he was!
