Favorite tsundere

Finally, a BL answer I can legitimately use because it's also an anime!

The best scene in that entire manga anime was where Hiro found all the letters Nowaki never sent him and was all MINE ALL MINE YOU CAN'T HAVE THEM BACK. Such a classic tsundere moment.

I also considered Hisoka from Yami no Matsuei and Akane from Ranma 1/2, but I already used each of those anime once.

Maybe it's a reflection of my training, but apart from Akane, I find it hard to identify tsundere who aren't BL characters, even though I know it was originally an otaku moe thing. What's her name from Love Hina, I guess? I'm sure there must be others...

Me, too! The downside of this is that I couldn't possibly choose a favorite BL tsundere. Aren't they all either tsundere or doting?

I wrote out several of my answers already on a piece of paper that I can no longer find... so in the absence of whatever brilliant choice I made a a week ago (which was probably the same anyway), I now chose Hiro as well. ♥

If I was doing non-repeats, or non-BL: Kyo Sohma.

WAIT WAIT! I remember now. It was between Hiro and Wolfram! (Sad, it wasn't even mangaroo's post that made me remember it, whut?)

So... Yeah, that's still a really tough call. Maaaaaybe to avoid repeats, Wolfram ekes out a victory. But only because I'll have used Hiro in some fashion for THREE answers if I keep him.

This is a hard one for me, because I really dislike the tsundere character type, so I don't have a favorite.

I would say Hiei...except that's just how he's commonly portrayed in fanfic. He's not like that on the show.

I think I have to go with Ran's mother from Meitantei Conan.

Hmm, probably Hiro for me, too. Though Kyou is a good one. Or maybe Chiaki from Nodame Cantabile.


...Now I'm trying to think of a girl tsundere character I might pick. I don't think Haruhi from Ouran really fits...I can think of some others that might fit, but I don't know how much I really like them as characters...Yamada from Hachi Kuro, maybe? I feel like there must be someone better but can't come up with anyone. :/

The only girls on my candidate list were Sakura (Naruto, obvs) and Tsukushi (HYD). And Tsukushi might be debatable as to whether or not she fits with the current view of tsunderes. There are so many out there, but not really in the shows I watch. >_> (Hmm, or Haruhi from Haruhi Suzamiya maybe? That was probably the most recent female tsundere character that interested me at all.)

(Ritsu is right up there with Hiro, but I guess I don't think of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi as an anime yet; I basically dismissed everyone but JR characters as manga only, heh.)

I forgot to say: I did consider that Haruhi, too, but while I think she's fun (in that she makes fun things happen on the show), she's not a favorite character or anything.

I guess the tsundere character type is not that interesting to me in a girl, IDK.
