Days 18 & 19
Man, it is hard to keep up with this when we're having what is without doubt the most gorgeous run of weather EVER at the beach...
Day 18 - Something moe
It took me long enough to find out what moe even meant. How do I answer this question?
However, I think this is stereotypical enough to count:

Kyouya from Ouran High School Host Club (which I finally just got around to ordering from RightStuf, yay Funimation sale). Glasses on guys are just never bad. (Speaking of which, I have gotta figure out where to fit Card Captor Sakura in this meme somewhere... oh wait, I already had that planned.)
Day 19 - Mandatory swimsuit post
Because I just saw a bit of this anime on YouTube for the first time after I don't know how many years of fandom:

Surprising reflections on Urusei Yatsura:
I never bothered to seek this one out because nothing I heard about it sounded attractive. Love triangle? Two girls fighting over a guy who's a worthless lech? Excessive display of tiger skin bikinis?
The surprise discovery is that this anime is both insane and hilarious. It's pure comedy; I don't know why anyone would want to watch it as a romance or as the source of a pin-up girl (but then maybe my pin-up tastes just don't run that way). However, those for whom "This is $*&%^ insane!" is not a compliment should probably stay away.
Also, you really don't want to know what it would cost to buy the whole thing licensed on the used market (yes, I have been checking). Wonder if this will ever see a re-release?

resident expert calls again
The dvds have been released by long and laborous love from Animego - literally it took them years upon years to release it all - and over the last few years the sets have been in various sales because they are of course long and only the diehards bought, but you see, the license has expired and the sets will officially go OOP Sept 2011.
I assume you've seen TRSI? There were bundles for extremely cheap, (Well, I think 80 bucks for 10 dvds is cheap), but I think they only have a few now. They have singles too though. If I were you I would not be looking in the USED market.
ps: I never saw this show but I actually WANT to someday.
Re: resident expert calls again
Hmmm-mmm, it looks like between TRSI and a few singles on Amazon I could get all the discs for a pretty cheap per-disk price (except 50, wouldn't you know it, which is apparently super-rare). It would still be like $400, but I might spring for it if I can make it work with the Japan budget.
I sure wish it had been offered in more compact box set form (50 individual DVD cases, yikes!), but Animeigo does such high-quality stuff, it might be worth it even if it gets re-licensed and released in a cheaper form later.
Anyway, thanks!

PS: Obvs, I survived day 1 of the con. Granted, we left early, but still.

Dragons AND wings, two for the price of one!
<ahem> Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Switching to Dragons actually featured in anime. (But Nahta SHOULD be.)
Swimsuit:
Hubba hubba!
I actually own the comic containing the middle picture, and I had a scan of it in my webspace for a while in college.

I don't have a swimsuit picture handy, so let's pretend I just link to the wallpaper
