Wrapping it up
I don't have great answers to any of these questions, and Day 27 and Day 30 are related, so I decided to do them all at once.
Day 27 - Favorite anime opening theme song
Opening/closing theme is hard for me to answer, because anime theme songs go in one ear and out the other for me. I don't remember them if I'm not actually watching them at the time. So it's inevitable that my answers to Days 27 and 30 are from One Piece.
That having been said, I usually find songs either irritating (so I skip over them quickly) or addictive. This (OP Opening Theme #2) is one that I enjoy so much I sometimes go out of my way to listen to it again. Not for the music, mind you, but for the totally cheesy Japanese voice-over at the beginning. I love it!
Day 28 - Favorite pokemon
I -- what. OK, I cannot answer this question on the grounds that I have literally never seen Pokemon. However, I went and found a Random Pokemon Generator, and it gave me #151, Mew. Which seems appropriate.
Day 29 - Favorite school uniform
Too bad Saa Koi ni Ochitamae isn't an anime
This is almost as bad. I don't really pay much attention to uniforms in anime, idk. However, in honor of Utena's re-release on DVD (and in honor of cross-dressers everywhere):

Day 30 - Favorite anime ending theme
Again from One Piece, Closing #2. (It's really just a coincidence that both of my favorites are #2.) This not only has a theme so catchy I literally can't get it out of my head, but it has all the crew members in their little-kid versions. SO CUTE. (I can't decide which wee crew member I like best. I do love that they only use this ending after we've seen the first five crew member's backstories, even though they're not particularly spoilery.)
Now to tackle all that re-reading, now that I've finally been reunited with my manga. ^__^

But: I wanted to agree with Believe as a great song. I actually have had that on various car CDs (and on my ipod) for ages and ages, I just love it so. I was thrilled to finally GET to the episodes where it was used only recently. :)
Also, re: Pokemon: LOL LOL LOL, but you should choose Skitty. XD (My answer for this one, and indeed I certainly have one, really shouldn't surprise anyone.)

28. ummm...that eggy chick creature the second girl character carries around. Piplup.
29. Damn, am I the only one who collapses in giggles over the Saa... unibows?
30. EP - Hare Hare Yukai from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Line dancing, people. LINE DANCING.

BUT THAT'S WHAT MAKES THEM AWESOME

I have to admit, I'm surprised you didn't pick "Get Over" from Hikaru no Go.
(Edited for reference quote.)

Hey, hey, will you tell it to me? I'll just go listen to it, won't watch the images. :)

It's called One day...the thing is, what makes it so perfect and so poignant is, in itself rather...ahem, spoilery. So sooo spoilery for it to completely make sense, so if you're not caught up with the anime/haven't read the manga in the last year, it'll not make as much sense....but it is really good.

I honestly haven't watched the anime in forever (really should start that again...), but I follow the manga--tankoubon, not magazine, so I am behind some fans, but anime stuff won't be a spoiler, anyway.

Yeeeeah, does kinda inspire that. Course, OP in general has the ability to make me cry more than just about anything...
If you watch the 14th opening, it has more along the same lines, also very nicely done. I find it kinda amusing, as well as telling of Japan, that the anime openings later on basically just assume the viewers have all read the manga considering how spoilery/referencing future events, anime-wise in comparison to manga, they can be...

Yeah, OPs are AWFUL about spoilers. See also: Fushigi Yuugi. ("Wow, Chiriko looks totally different than he does in the OP...?")

BAahahaha! It's funny cause it's true. We (my sister, my mom and I) all had that same reaction when watching FY for the first time....ahh, 懐かしい!!

(I believe it was Amiboshi, btw. It was for what happened to him after he was discovered that Suboshi wanted revenge.)

I really need to get my hands on that Japanese manga before I get far enough along in the opening credits of One Piece to get spoiled. Though, I do think Usopp and Sanji were both in the credits before they were introduced, so maybe that counts. I like not knowing who the other crew members are going to be, though -- at least until one shows up and I'm all "So THAT'S who I've been seeing in a gazillion icons." I recognized Chopper at once without knowing at all who he was!

even though I'm a 139 year old womanso I will act like I hate you and kick you out, but then we'll all break down and bawl like babies ANYWAY." Oh, Japan!no subject
But I have to say, it kind of paled in light of OP 14 (Fight Together), which I experienced first, because I watched a bunch of the episodes after 500 when I came back from Japan. I seriously don't think "Fight Together" is EVER going to make me stop crying. I cry every single time I watch an episode that starts with that opening. Every day. Every week. It doesn't matter. It's that good.
I'm really sad that the next upcoming episode (517?) won't have that theme any more. They could keep that as the opening for the next 500 episodes and I'd be happy.

Pokemon: ...Um...Pikachuu is the only one I know by name. Does that count?
School uniform: Man, if only Alice 19th were an anime, they had rockin' uniforms. I'll have to go with CardCaptor Sakura.
Favorite ED: "Deja Vu" from Tokyo Babylon. I love this song SO MUCH IT HURTS. When I was finally able to buy a CD with it after years of searching, I put the song on repeat and listened to it at every opportunity for DAYS. ....Possibly weeks.

27. If we are talking about the sequence including animation, then Fushigi Yuugi. (Honestly, it's the reason I started watching the show in the first place, I loved it that much.) If just the song, then Nazo from Detective Conan.
28. Metamon! (Ditto in the English version, but he will always be Metamon to me.) I love so much when he can't copy other pokemon right. (I don't really know any of the new ones, though, and some of them are SUPER cute.)
29. I don't have a particular anime uniform I like best, I guess, but I seriously have a Thing for gakuran.
30. Probably Fourth Avenue Cafe (gotta love L'arc). But I feel like I should give some credit to Last Kiss, because I totally bought the $30 soundtrack to get the ending song, and I don't even like the show.

I love so many of the Conan songs that I would be hard-pressed to name a favorite. I was just reviewing "Koi wa Thrill Shock Suspense" before I posted my answer, while at the same time humming "Mysterious Eyes." There are just so many good ones.

(Apparently there's a third volume now, I should add that to my shopping list...)

...I might have to get it as well...I added a section to my list for misc. goods. I feel sad, though, because I won't have actually seen any of the songs on the air. But you just can't go wrong with Kuraki Mai.

Guh, me toooo. I love so many (I mean, there is totally a reason why I have more anime songs than anything else on my computer at this point), but when I was coming up with my answer, there was actually one song that just totally WON. None of you are going to like it, though. LOL. Or, probably most of my 1st tier contenders. Oh well. :P
Re Last Kiss: I thought that was ok, but I LOVE the OP from that show! I'm sad you don't like the show, 'coz I did... Well, ok, actually, if the show had just been *Orphen* doing his thing and none of the other characters, I suppose I'd have liked it a lot more. :P
no subject
Now I'm really curious to see what it is. I like a HUGE variety of anime songs, so I sort of doubt I wouldn't like any of your top contenders.
re: Orphen - I love the OP, too, but it was mostly for the ED that I bought the CD.
To be fair to the show, I never saw more than a couple episodes, so maybe it got amazing later, I don't know. But the beginning didn't really catch my interest.
no subject
Oh, man, after I typed that... well, technically it went to hell because my OP is ......actually an ED. (jeezus, my brain, let me cut you out.) Still, the 1st runner up was basically a heartbeat away and it'd only been hard to chose between them anyway, so at least I didn't have to re-angst all over again thru the other runners-up. (Of course, for ED, I'd also already had a clear winner, so then I had to angst again). Lulz.
I don't know if I'd say Orphen ever got amazing, but it was a decent, solid fantasy story, at least under all the slapstick they tried to lighten the mood with. I really liked his character and the whole dragon thing and uhm, other spoilery stuff I guess. (I didn't, however, ever finish the 2nd series....)

Oops. Well, I expect you to tell us what it was anyway.

Yeah, I have this problem is well, hence why I don't think I actually CAN answer...there are just waaaay WAY too many of them I adore.
And, as you say, if its based on just the song or on the OP animation + song makes a BIG difference...

The uniforms in Saa Koi ni Ochitamae grew on me.

28 - Um, Bulbasaur, I guess, just because it's really fun to say
29 - I'll just say Angel Beats, because I was watching the OP/ED this morning while choosing 27&30^^
30 - This one is hard to decide, RUN, RUN, RUN is classic, and ED 16 makes me cry every single time I hear it now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3XMflSkSd8 (spoiler-free vid) and Rie Fu's is just awesome so I'm tempted to go with Bleach's ED 1... but Bleach ED 5 - Life is one of the most singable endings I know http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBuSCrNc1yA
Bah, who am I kidding, the final ED of Angel Beats will make me cry for the rest of my life http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cr69HrCs1QI
look, I'm 5, ok?
Why yes, I might have spent a summer perfecting my pokemon imitations a few years ago, but no ,it's best you don't ask about that.
(Also: Bleach ED #1 is love, too.)
